Dog Fountain Downtown Roanoke watercolor
This is from a photograph I took in 2009 of Rod putting his hand in the famous dog fountain in downtown Roanoke. This was my first try at hands, flesh, splashing water, and sculptured metal.

Officially my first oil painting although I had dabbled in a couple of canvases when my mother was alive and painting--this was created in Elizabeth Byglar's weekend oil-painting workshop at The Bower Center.
